The North Mecklenburg High debate and speech team finished fourth at a southeastern regional tournament in Asheville Nov. 17.
More than 30 teams from North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee participated. First-place finishers included Kailyn Price, novice student congress; and Colleen Watson, original oratory and impromptu speaking. Kavasia Heath was second in novice student congress.
