Traffic conditions are generally good this Friday morning at 8:50 a.m. across the Charlotte region.
There are slowdowns on northbound Interstate 77 in south Charlotte and a couple of collisions around the area, but for the ost part, motorists are able to get to their destinations without problems.
Here is the 8:50 a.m. summary:
-- I-77 northbound, south Charlotte ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-20 mph from Carowinds Boulevard to Woodlawn Road.
-- I-85 southbound, Cabarrus County ... Congestion; traffic moving 30-35 mph from N.C. 73 down to I-485.
-- I-77 southbound, Lake Norman area ... Congestion; traffic moving 25-30 mph from the lake down to I-485.
-- I-485 inner loop, south Mecklenburg ... Congestion; traffic moving 25-30 mph from Providence Road to South Boulevard.
-- Albemarle Road at Farm Pond Road ... An earlier collision is being cleared; minor delays.
-- Nations Ford Road near I-77 ... Collision; minor delays.
-- Steele Creek Road at Hamilton Road, near S.C. 98, northern York County ... Collision; minor delays.
