Hello friends! I hope you've had a spectacular week so far and that you've recovered from the food coma I'm still experiencing.
I just can't seem to bounce back from the holidays into school mode...it's like my brain become mush and wants to remain on vacation mode! It also doesn't help that I'm like a senior and am ten days from sweet freedom.
Sweet, sweet freedom.
Over the holidays my family and I traveled up to Kentucky (Go Wildcats!) to spend time with my grandparents. What a special time it was...gathering around the table, all of us in our matching sweaters, dad carving the turkey on the table, Michael Buble in the background, with people passing the cranberry sauce with a Joe Biden smile.
Okay, so maybe it really went down like this.
My grandmother's famous pie crust that she raves about tasted like pure baking soda, we watched 6 hours of Duck Dynasty (lost quite a few brain cells there), watched Moonshiners (oh. my. heavens.), my uncle suggested we have a raccoon instead of a turkey, and we all fought over the green bean casserole.
I wouldn't have it any other way though.
During the weekend, my mom and I went through the guest list and finalized it at 257 people... we weren't expecting nearly that many people! We cut some people too which felt weird. How do you cut down on the guest list? Who do you invite and who do you leave off?
It's beyond stressful and complicated.
Not to mention, I have to compile both sets of lists: Jason's and mine's. It also doesn't help that I don't know half the people on either list...
My question for y'all this week is how have you dealt with the guest list predicament? How do you shorten it and who do you finally invite?
I need help!
