Brian Nick, a former spokesman for Republicans Elizabeth Dole and Pat McCrory, is leaving partisan politics to take a job in the Charlotte law office of Moore & Van Allen.
As senior director for strategic communications in the law firm’s public affairs office, he’ll work with clients and the media, and do public policy lobbying in Raleigh and Washington.
Nick was deputy campaign manager in Dole’s successful 2002 run to represent North Carolina in the U.S. Senate, then served as press secretary and, later, chief of staff in her Senate office in Washington.
This year, Nick worked in McCrory’s winning campaign for governor as communications director, overseeing media relations and radio and TV commercials. Tim Funk
