83-year-old woman’s wallet stolen; debit card used

GASTONIA -- Police say an 83-year-old Gastonia woman had her wallet stolen while shopping last month, and they are looking for a woman seen using a credit card from the wallet a short time later.

According to investigators, the elderly woman was shopping Nov. 7 at the Walmart store on East Franklin Boulevard when someone stole the wallet from her purse.

Later that day, the woman’s debit card was used at a Kangaroo Express at 516 Cox Road in Gastonia. Police have surveillance video photos of the woman who used the card.
