Holiday pet photo contest

We’ve all done it: plopped a Santa hat on Duke the dog or Mittens the cat and snapped a photo. Sounds like the makings of a great contest to us.

Go to charlotteobserver.com/contests and upload your photo, include the pet’s name and what makes your furry one so special. Deadline Dec. 13. Extra points for older photos and ones that include kids. Winner gets a restaurant gift card, and some cards will run in the paper Jan. 1.
