A Denver, N.C., man faces multiple charges of breaking and entering, larceny and burglary in connection with a string of thefts and break-ins in his neighborhood, according to the Lincoln County Sheriffs Office.
Joshua Alton Keziah, 19, has been charged in break-ins of homes near Blackwood Road in Denver between Nov. 30 and Dec. 4.
Keziah admitted to some of the crimes, the sheriffs office said in a news release, including break-ins at the Westport Marina, a pick-up truck parked along Blackwood Road and a home in the 7900 block of Blackwood Road. A pistol was stolen from the pick-up truck, and two TVs and a bottle of liquor were taken from the house, the news release said.
Deputies connected Keziah to one of the crimes when they were investigating an attempted break-in at an occupied residence in the 7900 block of Water Oaks Drive, the news release said. The homeowner gave a description of the suspect, which led police to identify the suspect as Keziah, who was found walking along a road near the house.
Keziah was in the Lincoln County Jail Wednesday, held on a $40,000 bond.
Authorities said additional charges could be filed.
