Your Thursday morning traffic update

Congestion and a few wrecks are causing problems on roads in scattered locations across the Charlotte region at 8 a.m. Thursday morning.

A collision with injuries is causing problems on Park Road at Archdale Road. Another wreck, on Albemarle Road, is being cleared.

Here is a summary at 8 a.m.:

I-485 inner loop, south Mecklenburg ... Congestion; traffic moving 20-25 mph from Providence Road to South Boulevard.

I-77 northbound, south Charlotte ... Congestion; traffic moving 30 mph from Carowinds Boulevard to Tyvola Road.

I-77 southbound, Lake Norman area ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-25 mph from the lake down to I-485.

I-85 southbound, Cabarrus County ... Congestion; traffic moving 20-25 mph from N.C. 73 down to I-485.

Independence Boulevard inbound ... Congestion between Margaret Wallace Road and Idlewild Road; traffic moving 10-20 mph in that area.

U.S. 321 southbound, Gaston County ... Congestion; traffic moving 25 mph from Dallas down to I-85.

West Mallard Creek Church Road at U.S. 29, north Charlotte ... Collision being cleared; minor delays.

Park Road at Archdale Road ... Collision with injuries; moderate to heavy delays. Motorists should consider alternate routes.

Albemarle Road at Cabarrus Road ... Collision being cleared; minor delays.
