Lincolnton man faces indecent exposure charge

A Lincolnton 18-year-old faces a misdemeanor indecent exposure charge after allegedly following a Walmart shopper around the local store and exposing himself to her, Lincolnton police said.

Jeffrey Stidham was arrested Thursday following the 7:30 a.m. incident, Officer R.J. Barlowe Jr. said.

Police were alerted when a 37-year-old woman reported the man had followed her around the Walmart, making strange noises and scaring her.

When the woman left the store to get in her car, Stidham showed up and pulled his pants down, Barlowe said.

Police identified Stidham as the suspect after a review of store surveillance video. Barlowe was being held on a $4,000 secured bond.
