Today is deadline for city manager survey

Charlotte residents have until 6 p.m. Friday to participate in an online survey designed to measure the most important characteristics for a new city manager.

The Charlotte City Council has hired Waters Consulting Group to help with the recruitment and selection of a city manager. The current city manager, Curt Walton, announced in September that he would retire at the end of this year.

Waters Consulting says it wants to develop a profile for a city manager, identifying the characteristics of such a person.

The surveys are anonymous, confidential, but considered public information.

You can access the survey at this site.
