Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say they have arrested three men for their involvement in three armed robberies, including one case that involved a shooting.

The three suspects are Antonio Lamar Stukes, who turned 22 on Thursday; Cedric Maurice Gaston, 25; and Walter Boyd, 25.

The first case occurred shortly after 9:15 p.m. Friday, in the 800 block of Scaleybark Road. A man told police that several people were visiting his home when someone knocked on the front door. The man said he was shot after opening the door.

The victim was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Detectives later showed the victim a list of possible suspects, and they say he identified Stukes and Gaston.

The second robbery was reported shortly after 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, in the 3800 block of Brookshire Boulevard. In that case, the victim told police he met the suspects a day earlier, and when he met up with them again Tuesday, he was robbed at gunpoint. Investigators say evidence pointed to Stukes and Boyd as suspects.

Then about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to the 3100 block of Southwest Boulevard, where a resident said someone kicked in the front door and took several items from the victim at gunpoint. Police say the victim got a nickname of the suspect, and that was traced back to Stukes.

Stukes was charged with four counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon; two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon; assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill; kidnapping; and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Gaston was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury; robbery with a dangerous weapon; attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon; and conspiracy to commit a robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Boyd was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon; kidnapping; and two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
