Police: Drunk man struck car 4 times in McDonald’s drive-thru line

Police arrested a drunk man in a McDonald's drive-thru Thursday night after he hit the car in front of him four times, according to a Rock Hill police report.

The 54-year-old man hit a woman’s car while waiting in line at the McDonald’s on East Main Street around 10:15 p.m., the report states.

He told a Rock Hill police officer he had two beers earlier in the night and couldn’t walk a straight line because he “had two knee surgeries and two back surgeries,” according to the report.

He failed more than one sobriety test, the report states, and screamed and tried to pull away when the officer tried to arrest him.

Police took the man’s license, towed his car and took him to jail. He was charged with driving under the influence.
