Man robbed of $1,040 at tattoo parlor

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police Friday were looking for suspects who robbed a man of more than $1,000 in cash as he was leaving a Charlotte tattoo parlor west of uptown, a report shows.

Antonio Lamont Frazier, 29, told police that he was robbed about 1 a.m. Friday, as he left Universal Ink tattoo shop in the 2200 block of Dr. Webber Road. The suspect pointed a gun at Frazier, stole $1,040 in cash, a wallet and a Bank of America debit card, according to the report.

Police had made no arrests by Friday afternoon, a CMPD spokeswoman said, and the case was still under investigation. Detectives were not releasing suspect details so early in the investigation.
