Observations: Charlotte Bobcats at Milwaukee Bucks

• Charlotte Bobcats rookie Michael Kidd-Gilchrist got in early foul trouble Friday (two in first six minutes), which is not uncommon this season. But coach Mike Dunlap tells Kidd-Gilchrist he’d rather the rookie foul out than become passive defensively.

An interesting sight during the national anthem: Bobcats assistant coach Brian Winters was standing right underneath where the Bucks have retired his jersey at the Bradley Center. Winters played for Milwaukee from 1975 through 1983.

• Dunlap said before the game he has no firm plan yet on when to move Gerald Henderson back into the starting lineup. Dunlap said his first concern is easing Henderson back into steady minutes, so he doesn’t reinjure his foot.

• Dunlap started Gana Diop and Bismack Biyombo as his big men in the second half, replacing Byron Mullens and Brendan Haywood. Diop and Biyombo can’t provide much offense but they do block shots and clog the lane. The Bucks had scored 28 first-half points in the lane.
