A 28-year-old RockHill man was stabbed to death off Ellen Avenue early Saturday, according to authorities.
Friends rushed Talbert Demarrio Pickett to Piedmont Medical Center after he was stabbed. He was pronounced dead in the emergency room, York County Coroner Sabrina Gast said.
Investigators are still piecing together what happened. Two possible suspects have been brought in for questioning, Rock Hill Police Lt. Brad Redfearn said.
Police were called to the 1100 block of Ellen Avenue around 3:35 a.m. for a stabbing. Meanwhile, authorities learned that friends of Pickett drove him to the hospital.
Gast declined to say whether Pickett was stabbed more than once.
I usually dont like to say because of the investigation, she said.
Pickett, authorities said, lived about 13 miles southwest of Ellen Avenue, which is about a mile from Cherry Park.
Its the citys sixth homicide of 2012.
