Thursday forecast: still cool, but skies clearing

Cool temperatures will remain in the Charlotte region for at least one more day, with temperatures expected to hit 51 degrees on Thursday.

Light mist fell on some portions of the Charlotte region early Thursday, but the precipitation was moving to the east and out of the area. Skies will should begin clearing around mid-morning.

Temperatures will dip to just below freezing overnight, before rising to 59 degrees on Friday.

The National Weather Service says rain could move back into the area starting Saturday evening and could linger until Tuesday.
