Ramona Holloway joins WCNC's 'Charlotte Today'

Radio personality Ramona Holloway has been named the new co-host of “Charlotte Today,” the lifestyle and entertainment show that airs on WCNC-TV.

Holloway will share hosting duties with Colleen Odegaard, who launched the morning show in 2010. She’ll make her first appearance on Jan. 7.

“Charlotte Today” airs at 11 a.m. weekdays on WCNC (Channel 36).

Holloway is one-half of the “Matt & Ramona” afternoon show on WLNK-FM (“Link” 107.9).

Joining the morning show won’t be Holloway’s first venture into television. She and her radio co-host Matt Harris are stepping down this month from “Fox News Edge,” a half-hour program that airs at 10:35 p.m. on WCCB.

“Charlotte Today” features segments on topics like fashion, decorating, beauty tips, recipes, and music.

In a release, WCNC officials said Holloway’s “natural warmth and curiosity are well-suited for the local entertainment and information program.”

“I’m so excited about this opportunity,” Holloway said in a news release. “Colleen is kind, fun and a TV pro. I’m looking forward to learning from her and raiding her closet for cute clothes. ‘Just wondering if this move makes me the new Kathie Lee or the new Hoda.”
