CMPD sets candlelight vigil for Conn. victims

Charlotte Mecklenburg Police’s Homicide Support Group will host a Candlelight vigil at 6 p.m. on Monday to honor the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.

The public vigil will take place on the front steps of the CMPD Law Enforcement Center, 601 E. Trade St.
