Tuesday forecast: milder, high near 62

After an overcast and somewhat dreary Monday, expect drier and milder weather across the Charlotte region on Tuesday.

Morning temperatures are in the low 50s, which is normally the high for this time of year. But temperatures are expected to peak at 62 degrees this afternoon before dropping to about 38 degrees overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will be slightly warmer on Wednesday, with a forecast high of 64.

But the mild weather won’t last.

A cold front is expected to move into the region on Thursday, bringing rain during the afternoon and evening and sending temperatures falling.

Friday’s high is only expected to reach 48 degrees, with weekend highs in the low 50s.
