The worst traffic problem at 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning in the Charlotte area is on Park Road at Marsh Road, where a collision with an injury has been reported.
There also is heavy congestion on northbound Interstate 77 in south Charlotte and on the inner loop of Interstate 485 in south Mecklenburg.
Today is the final day of classes in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and several other nearby systems, while other school systems finish for the holiday break Friday.

-- Providence Road at Pineville-Matthews Road... Collision reported about 8:10 a.m.; moderate congestion in both directions on both roads.
-- I-85 southbound, Cabarrus County ... Congestion; traffic moving 20-30 mph from N.C. 73 down to I-485.
-- Park Road at Marsh Road ... Collision with injuries reported about 8 a.m.; moderate to heavy congestion in the area.
-- Independence Boulevard inbound ... Congestion; traffic moving 10-15 mph between Village Lake Drive and Idlewild Road.
