First Team
Darby Middlebrook, Watauga, Sr.: Won three major meets (WNC Carnival, United Way, Northwestern 3A/4A) and was runner-up in two more (Adidas Challenge, Wendy’s) before breaking her leg while leading the N.C. 4A West Regional. Only area runner to break 18 minutes (17:54).
Sydney Foreman, Ardrey Kell, Jr.: N.C. 4A all-state (eighth), N.C. 4A West Regional runner-up, and Southwestern 4A champ had 5K best of 18:06.6.
Bianca Bishop, Providence, Jr.: N.C. 4A all-state (fourth), N.C. 4A All-West Regional (third), and Southwestern 4A runner-up had 5K best of 18:06.1.
Natalie Andrejchak, Concord Robinson, So.: N.C. 3A all-state (third), and won the N.C. 3A Midwest Regional, South Piedmont 3A and Wendy’s 3A races. Had 5K best of 18:26.8.
Sonia Payerpaj, Myers Park, Sr.: N.C. 4A All-West Regional (10th), and All-Southwestern 4A (third). Won Winthrop Invitational and Ashbrook Luminary Run and was runner-up at Runnin’ with the Wolves Rocktoberfest in Virginia. Had 5K best of 18:29.
Grace Sullivan, Providence, So.: N.C. 4A All-West Regional (eighth) and was runner-up at Rock Hill Northwestern’s Trojan Invitational. Also had top-10 finishes at adidas Seahawk Invitational (eighth), Wendy’s (fifth) and NC Runners Elite Carnival (eighth). Had 5K best of 18:32.5.
Malia Ellington, Community School of Davidson, So.: Won N.C. 1A Midwest Regional and Cannon School Invitational. Had 5K best of 18:31.

Patrick Sheehan, Lake Norman, Jr.: N.C. 4A all-state (sixth), N.C. 4A West Regional runner-up, and I-Meck 4A and Iredell County champ had 5K best of 15:36.
Clifford Buck, Concord Robinson, Sr.: N.C. 3A all-state (fourth), N.C. 3A West Regional and South Piedmont 3A champ had 5K best of 16:02.1.
Nick Linder, Providence Day, So.: NCISAA 3A all-state (fourth), CISAA runner-up had 5K best of 16:02.7.
Tanner Glackin, Weddington, Sr.: N.C. 3A all-state (eighth), N.C. 3A All-Midwest Regional (fourth). Won Union County and Southern Carolina 3A titles and had 5K best of 16:10.7.
