Mooresville Eagle Scouts: Boy Scouts Troop 171 will recognize Eagle Scouts Hunter Beck, Colt Bradley, Ryan Browne, Anthony D’Auria, Sean Endres and Will O’Tuelhold at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor at 6 p.m. Dec. 23 at Williamson’s Chapel UMC, at Williamson and Brawley School roads. Troutman Football champions: At the Troutman Town Board’s December meeting, a resolution was unanimously approved in recognition of South Iredell High School, which is in Troutman, for becoming Iredell County’s first North Carolina High School Athletic Association state football champions.
Statesville Construction caution: Due to the ongoing Interstate 77/Interstate 40 interchange improvements, motorists should be cautious as they travel through the Statesville area during the holidays. Lanes have been shifted on both interstates to accommodate the construction of new entrances and exits, and drivers need to stay alert.
