Target

Who doesn't feel this way about Target? I mean seriously. I still have yet to walk into a Target and leave without at least one item. If I am with one of my best friends, we won't leave the store without at least 5 items.

This week, Jason and I went to Target and registered for the first time ever. Jason was a little excited...

As we proceeded towards the kitchen department, we passed the lingerie section and Jason pretended to go wild with the scanner. He was zapping every unmentionable in sight while I laughed. He said we would be absolutely fine with just these items ;) Right beside the lingerie was the baby section and before I could let out an, "AWWW! Isn't this adorable?!", Jason was nowhere in sight. You would have thought he was scared or something.

We hit the kitchen department and spent at least an hour and half strolling through the aisles. Because Jason lives with his parents and I live with mine, we don't have a single thing for our future home, except for the most adorable pair of salt and pepper "pea pod" shakers. It was a bit difficult shopping for things for a house we don't even have yet but we knew that we wanted bright, colorful and cute things. Jason's only conditions? No pink and no obnoxious flowers.

So I guess these bad boys are a no.

Registry

We ended up registering for over a hundred items and to my pleasant surprise, Jason seemed to really enjoy it. I had heard from multiple friends of mine that their fiances were less than interested in the experience. Jason had some really insightful suggestions and ideas which helped me narrow the decision making process.

Registering at Target was extremely simple and fun and the staff was super nice and helpful- be sure to keep Target as a must-have for gift registry!

The next day we hit Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I felt kind of guilty, like I was cheating on Target or something but I soon got over it. There were a few items (116 to be exact) that we still needed to register for. We enjoyed registering there too and the customer service was excellent. We were even served hot fancy coffee.

There were things that each store excelled in over the other. For example, I really liked Target's selection of kitchen items and the outdoor goods (i.e. Jason scanned a large tent, grill, bocce ball set, volleyball set, etc.). I also liked the prices and patterns of their pillows and sheets than Bed, Bath, and Beyond. But at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, their selection of bedding and bath stuff is unbeatable (I guess that's why it's in the title).

All in all, it has been a successful experience. Hopefully we'll get some more items to go with our salt and pepper shakers.

Next stop? Belk.
