Some say vivid green colors make us feel good. They’ll also tell you that green can inspire feelings of balance and harmony.
With that in mind, color standards company Pantone has named emerald green the Color of the Year for 2013.
The color named for the most precious stone of the mineral Beryl replaces Tangerine Tango, which reigns in 2012.
“Green is the most abundant hue in nature – the human eye sees more green than any other color in the spectrum,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, adding that it translates easily to fashion and decor.
