Concord man dead after fatal wreck in Mint Hill

Mint Hill police are investigating a wreck that has left a Concord man dead.

Adam Miles Lepisto, 25, was found dead sometime after 9 p.m. Friday when officers discovered his wrecked truck in the 8000 block of Truelight Church Road.

Police had originally responded to the intersection of Truelight Church Road and Lawyers Road to investigate a hit-and-run that only involved property damage, according to a news release. While investigating at the intersection, officers came across the 2001 Chevrolet Truck suspected in the hit-and-run. Lepisto, the driver, was still in the truck and pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said the truck struck a brick mailbox, flipped over and came to rest on all four wheels. Mint Hill police and officers with Charlotte-Mecklenburg’s Major Crash Unit are investigating the wreck. Officers said speed was a factor in the crash.
