To: Everyone. From: Charlotte. What a year it’s been!

If the city wrote a holiday letter....

We’ve had a happy, busy year in our Charlotte household! So many things to be proud of, it’s hard to keep track.

So let’s start with the latest: Pat is taking a new job in Raleigh! It’s one he’s been trying to get for years – we’re proud of his perseverance. He starts in January, and he says there’s lots of work to do right away. But we know he and his coworkers are up to it. We hear they sometimes like to work after midnight!

Anthony is still here in the city, working hard in management – and you know what a challenge that can be. We’re sure he’s thinking of bigger and better things down the road, but for next year he’s concentrating on the basic stuff, like some new transportation. (Don’t tell anyone, but we hear it might be expensive...)

And of course, there’s the newest addition to our family, Heath. He’s a charmer, and hoo boy, what a talker! We can hardly wait until we understand what he’s saying!

That’s about it for 2012 news. We hope all of you made it to our big party in September. If we do say so ourselves, it was quite the success, despite the weather making us move everything indoors. We even got a little publicity out of it all!

(Although not as much as Cousin Paula did last month.)

(But we’re not talking about that.)

Have a

happy 2013!
