State authorities say a juvenile offender who escaped during a home visit on Wednesday has been apprehended.
The state Division of Juvenile Justice said the youth, identified only as James N., had been in the custody of the Stonewall Jackson Youth Development Center in Concord.
But authorities said the youth had gone to Catawba County for a home visit when he escaped. He was last seen a little before noon Wednesday in the 2200 block of Main Avenue NW in Hickory.
It was not immediately known Thursday where and when James was apprehended. Authorities said the youth was returned to secure custody at the Concord detention facility.
