ToolBank USA to go mobile

ToolBank USA, which has a location in Charlotte, has received commitments from UPS and Stanley Black & Decker to help cover the cost of creating a disaster response mobile toolbank, as well as ongoing operating expenses. The mobile unit – stocked with an inventory of tools that can be used for disaster recovery – will be ready to travel to affected communities.

ToolBank aims to shorten the disaster response and recovery process, while making tools accessible to volunteers to maximize their efforts, according to an announcement from ToolBank.

ToolBank USA’s fixed locations give charitable organizations access to high-quality tools to use in their mission-related projects. To learn more about Charlotte’s ToolBank, visit www.charlotte.toolbank.org.
