A few problems are being reported on Charlotte-area roadways at 8 a.m. Friday.
The problems are on Providence Road; on Queens Road West; and on North Tryon Street in north Charlotte.
The 8:30 a.m. update:
-- I-77 southbound, near Exit 25 ... Disabled vehicle; traffic slowing a bit in the area.
-- North Tryon Street southbound, at 36th Street ... Repairs continue on a water line break. Minor congestion.
-- Providence Road at Oberwood Drive ... An overturned vehicle -- reportedly a police patrol car -- near Rea Road. This happened about 8:20 a.m., and traffic is heavily congested in the area.
-- I-485 inner loop, south Mecklenburg ... Congestion; traffic moving 30-40 mph from Providence Road to South Boulevard.
-- Queens Road West near East Boulevard ... Water main break has closed Queens Road West in this area. Motorists can use Providence Road as an alternate route.
-- I-77 northbound, south Charlotte ... Congestion; traffic moving 30-40 mph from Carowinds Boulevard to Tyvola Road.
