• Late in the fourth quarter I turned to a Chicago sportswriter and asked him if this was the Bulls worse performance this season. His reply? Isnt this the worst loss in NBA history?
• Chicago fans constantly booed ex-Bull Ben Gordon, and he sure stuck them back. Gordon made 7 of 12 from the field, generating 15 points in just over 23 minutes.
• Bobcats coach Mike Dunlap mentioned after the loss to the Brooklyn Nets Friday that there was slippage in his teams foul-shooting, and that was significant because this team creates so few easy points. Monday was worse: the Bobcats shot 21 of 38, a dreadful 55 percent.
• Remarkably, the Bulls never led this game. Even when the Bobcats started the season 7-5, it was inconceivable the other team would fail to take the lead. This was only the second time this season the Bobcats won by more than four points.
• Im a big fan of Chicago center Joakim Noah for how determined Noah generally is to do the grimy, thankless things that win games. Not Monday. In 30 minutes he totaled two points, four rebounds and two blocks. On a roster full of uninterested Bulls, he looked the most lethargic.
