Thursday forecast: cloudy, high near 49

By April Bethea abethea@charlotteobserver.com

It’ll be cool and cloudy across the Charlotte region on Thursday.

The National Weather Service says there is a small chance for rain this morning, with any precipitation most likely to fall before 10 a.m. and in the southern parts of the region. After that, the forecast calls for cloudy and then -- hopefully -- sunny skies by the afternoon.

Still, even with some sun, it’ll be chilly outside. Thursday’s high is expected to reach 49 degrees.

Conditions will be mostly clear overnight, with a low of 28 degrees. Friday is expected to be sunny, with a high of around 50 degrees. Saturday will look about the same, though some rain could return early Sunday.
