Easy move cuts down on tissue waste

The Winner: Instead of using facial tissues in the bathroom for make-up purposes – blotting lipstick, etc., – I put a roll of toilet tissue under one of those decorator tissue covers with a slot at the top (used for covering the 4-inch by 4-inch tissue boxes). Then you can tear off only the number of tissue squares needed instead of using an entire tissue for a small job. Much cheaper and equally efficient. Pat Varvel, Lake Wylie

Tape keeps tags from curling

After cutting “box top$” fundraising tags from plastic bags, I’ve found an easy way to keep them from curling. I put a small piece of clear tape on the back and they lay flat. For those of us who clip and save them for schools, this makes it much easier when counting them.
