Gunshot victim asks firefighters for help

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a shooting in north Charlotte after a person walked into a fire station looking for help on Thursday afternoon.

According to MEDIC, the victim walked into the Charlotte Fire Department station off of Keller Avenue looking for help after being shot.

The victim suffered potentially life-threatening injuries and was taken to Carolinas Medical Center, MEDIC said.

Authorities have not released anymore details on how or where the victim was shot.

Officials said the shooting did not take place at the fire department.
