• A story in Friday’s Observer about new U.S. Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina incorrectly reported one of his previous jobs. He was an Allstate insurance agent.

• A story on Sunday’s front page about U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick’s career in Congress said that researchers for a book – “Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That’s Conspiring to Islamize America” – had labeled Islam a disease. The story should have made clear that one researcher made the statement in a 2008 essay, not in the book.

• A map in Friday’s Observer incorrectly located R.C. Josh Birmingham Parkway.
