A wreck at the intersection of Providence and Pineville Matthews roads left at least one victim trapped and sent four people to the hospital with injuries.
Medic described one person’s injuries as life-threatening injuries. Two other victims have potentially life-threatening injuries, and the final patient has non-life threatening injuries. All 4 patients were taken to CMC Main.
Few details were immediately available but the wreck happened sometime before 2:48 p.m. Medic responded to the scene, as well as 18 Charlotte firefighters who helped to rescue victims.
Officials advised drivers to avoid the area and expect significant traffic delays.
