Administrators at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools will meet Monday morning with a Myers Park teacher charged with having sexual contact with a student.

Kristina Ngum, 43, turned herself in to authorities on Saturday after being charged with one count of sexual activity with a student.

In a statement, CMS said the meeting will “determine any immediate actions the school district will take” against Ngum, an exceptional children’s teacher who is also the varsity cheerleading coach. Ngum won’t be in contact with students before the meeting, the statement said.

Detectives said the alleged sexual activity happened at a location off campus. Authorities did not say when it occurred.
