Vance High School will get a 25-classroom addition, slated to open in January 2014, if the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school board approves a construction contract Tuesday.
A $6.7 million contract with Matthews Construction Co. to build the new wing is on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting. The money comes from school bonds the voters approved in 2007.
Vance, in northeast Charlotte, currently has about 1,700 students.
