GREENSBORO -- A Cabarrus County man has been sentenced to 120 years in prison for his role in a child pornography operation, federal prosecutors say.
David Matthew Hallman, 42, who lived in the Midland area, was sentenced Friday in federal court in Greensboro. A co-defendant, Mary Freda Williams, 33, was sentenced Dec. 17 to a 40-year prison term.
Prosecutors say the case involved children 12 and younger. The government accused Hallman of producing thousands of images and videos that sexually exploited the children.
Concord police and the Cabarrus County Sheriffs Office joined the FBI in investigating and prosecuting the case.
