The right lane on both sides of East Independence Boulevard will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday nights for roadwork, according to the N.C. Department of Transportation.
The closures will be between Idlewild Road and Farmingdale Drive, and they are scheduled from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. During those times, crews from Piedmont Natural Gas will be installing a line to serve a business. Two lanes on each side of the road will remain open during the nights.
Motorists are reminded to use caution in the area.
