Because of incorrect information provided by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, a story in Tuesday’s Local & State section misstated the number of CMS employees whose personnel documents were stolen from a car in November and the cost of paying for an ID monitoring service. About 80 employees have been notified that documents containing their personal information were stolen. The district’s cost for providing a year of Equifax monitoring for those employees is about $8,000.
