LENOIR -- A Caldwell County man was sentenced to 10 to 13 years in prison Monday on two felony charges, prosecutors say.
Harrison Harvey Jr., 53, of Hudson, was convicted on charges of assault with a deadly weapon on a government official and obtaining property by false pretense. He also was found guilty of habitual felon status.
Prosecutors say the assault charge stems from May 2012, when Harvey was accused of attacking a jail nurse with a needle. Authorities say the habitual felon status enabled Judge Robert Ervin Jr. to impose lengthy prison terms.
