One person was injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle wreck near South Mecklenburg High School.
The wreck was reported about 7:05 a.m. in the 8900 block of Park Road, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. It involved a car and a pick-up truck, and the car overturned in the collision.
One person in the car was injured and taken by Medic to the hospital. The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, according to police. It is not clear if anyone involved in the collision was a student or staff member at the school.
The inbound lanes of Park Road were closed for nearly an hour but reopened shortly after 8 a.m.
