BESSEMER CITY - A public hearing on Bessemer City’s new community center is scheduled for Monday at City Hall.
A description of the Park and Recreation Trust Fund project will be presented.
The City Council will invite comments and suggestions from the public.
The city will be applying for a $500,000 grant for the project.
City Manager James Inman said the entire building project will cost $4 million and that the city is exploring other grant options.
The hearing starts at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers. The City Hall is at 132 W. Virginia Ave. in Bessemer City.
