Two men were injured Friday morning when they were struck by a hit-and-run driver while changing a flat tire on the Brookshire Freeway.
The incident was reported about 6:30 a.m. on the outer loop of the Brookshire Freeway, near the Davidson Street interchange.
Police say the men were on the side of the freeway in the pre-dawn darkness when they were struck by another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle failed to stop, police say.
The men were taken by Medic to Carolinas Medical Center. One man had life-threatening injuries, authorities say.
Police say they are looking for the vehicle but did not release a description.
