Two people were injured Friday morning in a two-vehicle wreck near Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

The wreck was reported about 9:15 a.m. on South Mint Street at West Morehead Street. Authorities say one vehicle overturned, and a motorist was trapped.

Charlotte fire Capt. Rob Brisley said a crew of 16 firefighters was able to free the motorist in about 10 minutes.

Kristin Young, a spokeswoman for Medic, said two people were taken to Presbyterian Hospital. She said one victim had potentially life-threatening injuries, and the other person’s injuries were not life-threatening.
