Republican Gov. Pat McCrory outraised his Democratic rival Walter Dalton 3-1, according to new reports posted Friday morning by the North Carolina State Board of Elections.
McCrory, who celebrates his inauguration Saturday in Raleigh, raised $12.3 million to Dalton’s $4.3 million.
The former Charlotte mayor also was able to outspend his opponent nearly 3-1.
From mid-October through the end of the year, McCrory raised $728,000 to Dalton’s $385,000.
