A 38-year-old man accused of selling drugs and possessing nearly $9,000 worth of counterfeit clothing is in jail after police stopped him on Cherry Road and found clothing and drugs in his car.
Arthur F. Mack, of Rock Hill, was charged Thursday with drug trafficking and trafficking goods with a counterfeit trademark, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office. His bond was set at $100,000.
The clothing, which appeared to be North Face, True Religion and Polo brands, was in two large plastic bags in the car, according to a Rock Hill Police report.
Police said they received a tip that Mack was headed to New Jersey with the drugs on Thursday. Officers pulled him over near the Interstate 77 ramp on Cherry Road around 9:30 a.m., the report states.
A 39-year-old woman and a child were also in the car, according to the report, but Mack told police that he owned the clothing and the drugs. The woman, who was driving the car,was not charged.
According to the report police found marijuana, 180 units of oxycodone hydrochloride and 46 units amphetamines/oxycodone in the car and that warrants were issued for trafficking heroin/oxycodone, third offense, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana, second offense.
Mack has previously been convicted twice for distributing crack cocaine, according to the Rock Hill report.
