ROCK HILL A Rock Hill man says two gunmen forced their way into his house, held him at gunpoint and stole his cell phone, keys and wallet Saturday night.
The 44-year-old man told police he was in his South Heckle Boulevard home watching TV sometime before 11 p.m. when someone knocked on his door, according to a Rock Hill Police report. When he opened the door, two men forced their way into the house and held him at gunpoint.
The robbers hit the man in the head several times, leaving him with several small cuts. They stole his cell phone, keys and wallet, which had $8 in it, the report states.
One of the men, he told police, was 5 feet 10 inches and wore a knit toboggan on his head with a blue bandana over his face, the report states. The other man, he said, sported a goatee and wore dark clothes. He stood at 5 feet 10 inches, according to the report. Police believe both men are in their 20s or 30s.
The victim was taken to Piedmont Medical Center for treatment. He told police he would meet them at the police station to give a statement at a later time.
