Charlotte Country Day upper school students Jaylin Cureton, Jessica Gregory, Jill Levinson, Jocelyn Purdie, Mandine Roubaud, Emma Sepkowitz, Julien Souffrant and Rachel Uri were selected to attend the recent Student Diversity Leadership Conference in Houston.
Hosted by the National Association of Independent Schools, the conference is a multiracial, multicultural gathering of upper school student leaders from around the country in grades nine through 12. Participants examine social justice issues, develop effective cross-cultural communication skills, practice expression through the arts and learn networking principles and strategies.
The Country Day students were selected based on their commitment and support of diversity at the school.
