A company that manages a county-owned golf course off Prosperity Church Road has until 5 p.m. Tuesday to address some maintenance and other problems or the county says itll find another business to run the site.
The countys Park and Recreation Department sent a default letter to The Tradition Golf Course in early December citing multiple issues, including non-payment of rent and late fees, and failure to maintain the golf course and parking lot.
The company has since paid all outstanding rent, late fees and junior fees, according to a memo sent to county commissioners. But the company was given until Tuesday to resolve the remaining issues.
If the other defaults are not cured by January 15, 2013 at 5 pm, Mecklenburg County will begin a process to select a new golf course management company for The Tradition Golf Course, according to the memo.
The county said it could contract with Ratcliffe Golf Services to run The Tradition Golf Course on an interim basis if it has to look for another site manager. Ratcliffe already manages four other county-owned courses.
